We are often asked how double glazing is made, which makes all the folks in our factory very happy indeed.
When we manufacture our A-rated Eco Diamond windows, the sealed glass unit is made by first bringing together the two panes of state of the art AGC glass. They are clasped and sealed together with a precise 16mm gap. Then we remove the air from the space between the panes of glass and replace it with Argon gas before finally sealing the two panes to be absolutely airtight. The Argon gas has super insulation properties.
Our multi-chambered technology provides a light and super strong frame, which includes thermal inserts for further structural strength as well as energy saving properties, and the frame itself can be further reinforced with steel for long frame lengths as and where required. We also take the same approach with our uPVC doors.
Once the glass is double checked so that there are no imperfections or leaks, we clad the entire unit in high grade uPVC frame, seals, furniture, handles, locks, etc, and make all the final checks that the window is millimetre perfect for your home before it is installed by our expert teams of fitters!
And, that is how we manufacture your made-to-measure windows, endorsed by the Energy Saving Trust.
